The ‘Tamarack’ EP contains music to fill the subtle but vibrant margins of change. Where the forest gives way to the prairie, the prairie to the bog, the bog to the pond.... There, in the ecotones of change—the transitional zones—thrive unique and ornamented beings. Tamarack is the first to grow in filled-lake bogs. The first to emerge after fire. Both coniferous and deciduous, soft and needly. Rot resistant, medicinal.

Recorded to cassette over the course of two years, Tamarack contains the first song recorded under the Ecotone moniker, as well as a piece previously released to raise money and support the resistance to oil pipeline infrastructure at Standing Rock. Soft like tender spring tufts; unavoidable like autumn fires, when the needles change color and begin to shed. Tamarack is here for movement, for transitioning, for radicalizing the landscape of your life. Instrumentals to clear the canopy of your mind and start refreshed.
