On the darkest day of winter of 2012, the world lost David Fetzer, a musician, artist, playwrite, actor of screen and stage, and beloved friend. Fetzer had been a member of the experimental holiday band, HyLo, which features a rotating cast that typically includes Seth Bernard and Susan Fawcett recording on a Tascam 234 analog four track in a cabin somewhere in northern lower Michigan.

David's funeral took place in Salt Lake City, Utah on the first day of the tenth year of the HyLo tradition. On the days that followed, HyLo recorded a number of tunes in tribute, including covers of several written by Fetzer and his band, Mushman. Eddie's Balloon was first recorded on the album Eddie Do, released by Mushman in 2004. This cover by HyLo features Seth Bernard, Susan Fawcett and Brad Kik.
